@Justwatchedyou - Kahiko is the first hula, and was only performed by men. It wasn't till later on 'Auana was introduced with Wahine Dancers. Being that Kahiko is an ancient form of hula the men wear a "Malo". This is what was originally worn then. This is like a reverence for our roots.

(Not to be rude) Can anyone educate me on why the men wear that garmant or lack there of? I'm sure there has to be a reason. Love the vid!
